ABOUT THE COURSE

This course will provide an understanding of the fundamental calculus concepts needed to pursue careers in business, economics, and the life and social sciences. Topics covered in the class will include Functions, limits, derivatives, integration and related applications.

Passing the Math Placement Test or successful completion of the self-paced Algebra Review offered by the Math Learning Center.

COURSE EVALUATION

The grading scale will be 90-100: A, 80-89: B, 70-79: C, 60-69:D, Less than 60: F. The evaluation of the grade will be based on:

Quizzes 30%
Inclass Exams 45%
Final Exam 25%
TOTAL 100%


CALCULATORS

A scientific or graphing calculator may be used for the course. Unless otherwise announced, use of calculators will not be allowed on quizzes or tests.
