on your knowledge of calculus formulae (from this list), these are given as review. They will not count

Project 3 is due on Monday at the Review session, but can be submitted in class on Friday.
[04/27/04] I have to cancel my regular office hours this Thursday due to an exam. There is still an office hour this Tuesday at 4pm and I will be available for help most other days except for Thursday. Just drop me a line in case you want to see me and I'll be there.
[04/30/04] I posted answer keys for the practice exam and sample exam questions, so have a look. I remind you that hw13 and project3 will be accepted till Monday 7pm at the Review session and I'm going to post solutions for them the same evening. Quiz13 is due by Sunday midnight. Remember that in case you started doing the quiz before Wednesday evening, you'll have an incorrect version of question 4 answers until you actually hit "submit" and make a fresh start. I've added an extra attempt to all of you because of the typos in the original version.

Team projects (bonus)
|
- There will be approximately 3 group projects available.
- These are completely voluntary and are designed mostly for your practice before each of the exams.
Bonus points will be added to your HW/quiz score for each of the problems you solve
- You may work in groups of no more than 4 people and submit your work either separately or in one group report.
- If you do submit it individually, be sure to mention the names of your team members on the front page of your report.
- The problems in these projects might be a little more challenging than the hw or exam questions, so don't
be discouraged if you encounter difficulties. Don't hesitate to seek my help with these problems as well as with any other questions about the course.
Team project 1 - due Wednesday Feb 25. Solution set: (pdf)
Team project 2 - due Friday April 2. Solution set: (pdf)
Team project 3 - due Monday May 2 at the Review session. Solution set: (pdf)

Help info and contacts

If you are looking for help, these are some of your options:
- Try coming to my office hours: T 4-5pm, R 4-6pm. Thursdays are usually busier because of HW deadline, so try coming on
Tuesday if you need more individualized attention.
- If you have conflict with my OH or OH seems too crowded, talk to me after class or email me, I'll try to make an
appointment for you at a different time. Or you can try to stop by my office at any time (I'm usually there all day MWF and TR evenings)
- You can join Math Club in their weekly meetings at 212 McAllister. Tutoring is offered after each meeting.
- Math Center provides some free tutoring for math courses (located in 222 Boucke)
- If you feel you might benefit from private tutoring, look at the Private tutor list
If you have concerns or suggestions that you'd rather leave anonymous, please use the anonymous feedback form.
I need to know what you think in order to make the learning process effective, so any feedback is valuable to me.
If you like what you see in the course and would care to give me a token of appreciation, you can drop a line to my teaching supervisor
Prof. Regina Rotman to let her know how I'm doing.
