Title: Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Coupled Problems in Science and Engineering

Abstract: The efficient solution of complex coupled processes involving nonlinear interactions has remained a challenging problem in computational mathematics. These interactions may be characterized by fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, thermodynamics or in general a fluid-structure-thermal interaction. In this talk, we will give an overview of a variety of analytical and computational techniques that one can employ to model, analyze and solve such coupled problems efficiently.
