Updates: (9/22) As promised, I've posted some Extra Practice problems for you to work through in preparation for Test 1 next Thursday.  To see them, click below on the link "Quizzes and Tests".

(9/21) I've posted today's lecture notes on the last part of 11.8 and all of 11.9. Next Thursday we have Test 1. It will cover everything we have done in Chapter 11, i.e. everything up to and including section 11.9.  Check back tomorrow as I expect to post some general practice problems on Chapter 11 for you to work through.  I  will go over them  in class on Tuesday.

(9/20) I've posted Quiz 3 and the solution.

(9/14) I've posted today's lecture notes on sections 11.6 and 11.7.  Our first class test is coming up in two weeks.  In preparation I suggest you begin with each of the Lecture Outlines. Work through each one, doing each of the exercises that you find, and then checking your work against the solutions that I give in the Class Notes.  Be sure that you understand all of the relevant theoretical points that are used in solving these exercise and that you can write the solutions without any help and with complete understanding of why each step is taken. After doing this, work through the Practice Problems in the text which I have indicated in my list of Practice Problems.

Practice Problems    These are problems from the text which you should work on in preparation for the lectures, quizzes and tests.

Lecture Outlines and Class Notes    Here you will find copies of the Lecture Outlines which we work through in the class lectures as well as scans of the lectures themselves.

Quizzes and Tests   Here you will find copies of  the quizzes given in the recitation and tests given in class as well as associated comments.

Syllabus  The syllabus for the course can be found here. It lists test grading policies and other information about the course.
