Updates: (Nov. 21) I've posted a practice quiz for sections 5.2 and 5.3.

(Nov. 20) I've posted Quiz 11 and its solution.  Also, check back here again tomorrow as I intend to post some practice material on Chapter 5.

(Nov. 18) Friday's quiz will deal with sections 4.6 (l'Hopital's rule) and 4.7 (Newton's method), so be sure to review Practice Quizzes 23 and 24.

Just to give you some advance warning about Test 3 which is on Wed Dec 2, it will go from section 3.8 up to the end of Chapter 4.  Even though we've already gone well past that section into Chapter 5, I think that it is enough to cover for a single class test.

Don't forget to turn in your MAPLE assignments by this friday.

Quizzes   Click here to find copies of quizzes (once they are given during your recitation), practice quizzes, and detailed solutions.

Class Tests   Click here to find copies of tests  (once they are given in class) and complete solutions.

Practice problems from the text (not graded)  These are problems to work in order to keep up with the lectures and to prepare for  tests and quizzes.   If you expect to be successful in the course,  you should be regularly working these problems throughout the semester.  Please ask questions in class about the ones you have trouble with.

Syllabus  The syllabus for the course can be found here. It lists test dates, grading policies and other information about the course.

MAPLE Computer Assignments  Here I will post a file to help with the use of MAPLE, which is the computer algebra system you will use in doing your computer assignments.  You will also find copies of the computer assignments and their solutions once they are available.
