Title: PDE Constrained Optimization with Applications

Abstract: Optimization problems with partial differential equations (PDEs) as constraints is known as PDE Constrained Optimization. In this talk, we will start with several applications of PDE constrained optimization including, free boundary problems, and magnetic drug targeting. We will also discuss fractional (nonlocal) PDEs. We will utilize risk measures to formulate the optimization problems with such PDEs as constraints and conclude with several illustrative examples.
