Integrated computational material engineering: Development of entropybased mesoscale approaches for characterizing 2D polycrystalline materials topology, development of discrete element models for fracture in polycrystalline materials, raw material characterization based on image analysis.

Numerical analysis: Consistency, stability and convergence analysis for finite difference schemes for linear problems, solution of coefficient identification problems in linear parabolic equations.
