Math for America is starting a DC Chapter

Math for America DC Fellowship is an alternative certification program for
mathematically talented individuals and aspiring teachers holding a
Bachelor's degree in math or related field. Fellows will be expected
to commit to a 5-year program: during the first year they will receive
a full tuition to participate in a Master's Degree program at American
University and a living stipend; during the next four teaching years,
Fellows receive supplementary stipend, as well as continual mentoring
and professional development.

Math for America DC program, in partnership with American University, is in the
early phases of recruiting the first cohort of Fellows to start
training in the summer of 2009. For more information, please send
