Title:
Asymptotic Analysis of Singularities in Media with Inhomogeneities
Abstract:
This talk reviews asymptotic analysis methods for models that describe heterogeneous or composite materials. The main focus is on the media whose geometrical and mechanical features allow for constructing an approximation of the size that is significantly smaller than the size of the corresponding numerical approximation. The constructed discrete model is used for capturing and characterizing various blow up phenomena that occur in such materials.
