Optimal control of fractional PDEs
Abstract:
We will start by motivating the role of the fractional Laplacian via stable Lévy processes.
Subsequently, we will distinguish between different notions of the fractional
Laplacian. We will describe the current state-of-the-art for the spectral fractional
Laplacian and study optimization problems with a fractional diffusion
PDE as constraint.
